Interestingly-named quintet AxeWound are a British/Canadian metal supergroup, combining some of the biggest names in metalcore and hardcore scenes into one aggressive, head-bang inducing band. Fronted by Bullet for my Valentine’s Matt Tuck, the band consists of Cancer Bats star Liam Cormier, Glamour of the Kill’s Mike Kingswood, ex-Rise to Remain bassist Joe Copcutt, and Pitchshifter drummer Jason Bowld.
First unveiled on BBC Radio 1 on May 2011, where they debuted first single ‘Post Apocalyptic Party’, the band went on to perform at Download Festival, paving the way for the release of their debut album ‘Vultures’.
