Im sorry ive been away from the board for a while, I've been running around looking for flats with a couple of friends for the army

and we finally found one! :mr green:
and we signed the lease on tuesday and its ours starting today.

I'm gonna be living in tel aviv! a city! not the effing hole I currently live in

I'm both excited and terrified. Laughing

Do share reassuring moving out stories!

wahey! excelente Nogs! Cool

I've never moved out, I live with my sister so the house was already set when I came here.
I had other housemates who moved out though... I helped them moving out... when somebody moves out they realise they have SO many things they dont really need Laughing you wouldn't imagine the things they've left me Laughing

That sounds awesome! especially moving from your home town into a big city - /i did that a couple years ago - I lived in a hell-hole Razz adn then moved to Edinburgh, so - there's SO MUCH more stuff to do in the city!

it's always fun, fun, fun! no parents, just hanging out with friends all the time! Very Happy
the first 3 months I lived with housemates, we just played video games all the time! Laughing
although that first time living with 2 friends - the house i had stayed in with my mum, my mum moved out, and we paid her rent - started off OK, but as is common for 3 lazy guys - it became a bit of a mess Razz
if we had set up some kind of rota, we would have all pulled our weight.

but it'll be fun! although I'd just make sure that everyone pulls their weight Razz
I realised I ended up having to be a bit more tolerant of my mates as before Razz Laughing

moved house a few times now, only things i find that help is labelling your boxes, but i label EVERYTHING thats in there if its loads of random stuff.

do NOT pack the kettle and some mugs in a box, keep them handy cus you'll need them and have £10 handy for a takeaway!!! Very Happy

The rota thing definitely helps too. My last house was seriously grim cause noone ever cleaned, but the rota in my house this yr has worked really well!! Smile Good luck nogs! xx

lol too late for that. theyre not really close friends though. theyre very easy to get along with people i think. atleast, thats what i think now Razz I'm probably gonna be the annoying one out of the three

thanks for everyones advice! Very Happy I want to share pictures soon. at the moment i only have pictures of the state the previous tenants left it in Rolling Eyes but we've been cleaning it and it looks much better now

its not dead center, but its very close by to everything i need in Tel Aviv. and i love tel aviv! and its also 10 minute walk from the university I'm probably gonna start at this november.

oooh exciting! Very Happy

just make sure everyone pulls their weight. and that you can have your own space when you need it.
oh, and cos youre in the city- try not to eat out. its so easy/convenient, but it can get so expensive Mad

i recently spend 3weeks in my parents home and lived off €20. in the last week back in my apartment ive spent €250 Shocked
(i have bought gig tickets though. and completely broke now)

but i feel so free now... i love it Cool
