Record producer Mark Ronson and his band The Business Intl are to release their new single ‘Record Collection 2012’ on 5th September through Kitsuné. The single is a reworking of the title track from Ronson’s third album ‘Record Collection’, which entered the UK Albums Chart at Number Two upon its release in September last year. ‘Record Collection 2012’ features vocal contributions from rappers Pharrell, Wiley and Wretch 32, as well as a collaboration with MNDR, who previously appeared on Ronson’s Top 10 single ‘Bang Bang Bang’.

City Reign - Daybreak (Single Review)

This track by Manchester (even though two of them started life in London) newcomers City Reign is pretty good if slightly unspectacular. It has all the ingredients to break it above being average into definite “good” territory, including a stabby punchy guitar, insightful lyrics, a long “whoooaaaaaahhh” section and some drum fill that make you worry for Sam Jones’ arms as he crashes with utter devotion, especially towards the end of this track. It’s got that bratty sound that Dive Dive have managed to perfect over recent years, while still tipping their caps at arguably Manchesters biggest export, Oasis.
