Kele Okereke Reveals Details Of Next New Single

Kele Okereke, Bloc Party singer who has recently decided to go it alone with a solo career, has revealed details about the forthcoming release of his new single ‘Everything You Wanted’.

Not one to boast the confidence and bravado of a typical frontman, lets face it, Kele is certainly nowhere near the likes of Liam Gallagher, but allowing the music to do the talking, Kele Okereke often cuts a shy, reserved figure whilst onstage.

However, recently turning his hand to solo work, the Bloc Party singer seems to have stepped boldly into the spotlight over the last few months, with electro-stomper debut track ‘Tenderoni’ finding Okereke a new boost of confidence.

Scheduling a string of UK headline shows to promote his debut solo album ‘The Boxer’, Kele Okereke has certainly thrown away his previous indie boy image as he previews his new solo material across the country.

Next single to be released off ‘The Boxer’ will be much more plaintive track ‘Everything You Wanted’, a song featuring some delicate piano and confessional lyrics. Remixes featured on the single release include productions from Fred Falke, RAC, Disco Of Doom and DJ Mujava.

Kele Okereke is set to play the Reading and Leeds festival over August Bank Holiday weekend following a series of headline shows through July. Kele’s new single is set for release on August 16th.
