Heaven And Hell's Ronnie Dio Tribute Will Be 'Last Ever Performance'

With just over a week to go until London’s Victoria Park High Voltage Festival, bassist Geezer Butler has revealed that the confirmed Heaven and Hell Ronnie Dio tribute on July 24th will be their final performance ever.

In a new interview with Classic Rock magazine, Butler reveals that “It’s the only time we’ll do this. It won’t happen again.” The former Sabbath bassist continued to explain how moving the whole experience will be.

“It’s gonna be very emotional doing this set with different singers [Glenn Hughes and Jorn Lande], and it will be very strange being on stage without Ronnie. But Wendy Dio told us that, if he could, then Ronnie would certainly have given this his blessing.”

In addition to the exclusive tribute performance, a Ronnie James Dio Tribute Gallery will also be available to view on the day, providing an opportunity for fans to pay their respects as well as sign a book of condolence.

“Stand Up And Shout”, the Cancer fund set up by Ronnie James Dio has been announced as the official festival charity in which donations can be gratefully received through their website www.ronniejamesdio.com

The Heaven and Hell tribute performance at High Voltage Festival will not be filmed nor recorded for any future release, meaning those who have tickets for Saturday’s bill of the two-day festival will be the only ones to see it!

A one-off performance, never to be seen again. Ever!
