George Michael Pleads Guilty To Drug Charges And 'Could Face Jail'

World-famous pop icon George Michael could now be face jail having pleaded guilty to driving and crashing his car whilst under the influence of drugs.

Last July the singer was arrested after crashing his car into the front of a London shop allegedly on his return home from a gay pride parade. Michael was later found to be in possession of a personal amount of marijuana with the accident happening while the star was heavily intoxicated.

Facing the charges at a London courtroom on Tuesday August 24th, George Michael pleaded guilty to driving “while unfit” which saw the judge ban the pop star from driving for six months and told the singer that he may still face imprisonment when he returns for sentencing on September 14th.

This isn’t the first time George Michael has been on the wrong side of the law, in 1998 he was arrested by an undercover cop in Beverly Hills for a lewd act in a public toilet. More recently the singer has been involved in several car and cannabis-related incidents, one occasion being in 2007 when the star recieved a two-year ban for driving while under the influence after being found slumped over the steering wheel of his car in the middle of road!
