Legendary space rockers Hawkwind have announced that they will embark on a nationwide UK tour in December 2010 in support of their brand new studio album 'Blood of the Earth'. Support for all dates comes from UK rockers The Jokers.
'Blood Of The Earth' is Hawkwind’s first new studio album since 2005’s 'Take Me To Your Future'. The album is comprised of brand new Hawkwind tracks alongside the first ever studio recording of 1974’s 'You’d Better Believe It' and a new 2010 version of Dave Brock’s 1984 solo release 'Sweet Obsession'.
The album was made available as a limited edition 2CD, the second disc of which contains live tracks and an exclusive interview. Live tracks include 'Tide of the Century' taken from Tim Blake’s 2000 solo album of the same name, and a cover version of 'Long Gone' recorded for Mojo's Syd Barrett special edition of The Madcap Laughs.
