Rock legends Judas Priest have revealed that their scheduled world tour will be their final venture together.
Almost half a century since their creation, the band will travel across the globe on the Epitaph World Tour which sees them booked to perform at eight festivals (including a headline spot at the High Voltage festival in London) and countless shows that are to be announced. The tour is scheduled to begin in 2011.
Publicising group’s decision to end, Judas Priest wrote this statement on the band’s website: “After storming the world for nearly 40 years and taking its very special brand of heavy metal to all four corners of the planet, Judas Priest has announced plans to embark on a final world tour,"
They went on to say “However, the mighty priest will certainly be going out strong as they rock the planet starting in 2011 on the massive Epitaph tour – hitting the major cities throughout the world they will be playing the songs that helped make the name Judas Priest synonymous with heavy metal!”
