Arctic Monkeys will join previously announced headliners Foo Fighters at next year's Oxegen Festival in Ireland.
Currently in the studio working on their follow-up to 2009 album 'Humbug', the Arctic Monkeys will no doubt preview some new material during their headline performance at next year's Oxegen. The Sheffield band's first album, 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not', earned the title of fastest-selling debut album in UK music history with their second album 'Favourite Worst Nightmare' picking up a BRIT award for Best Album and Best Band for the second year running.
Arctic Monkeys will return to Oxegen Festival next year, having played the weekend bash back in 2006, alongside Foo Fighters who were the first band confirmed for 2011 yesterday.
Oxegen Festival takes place at Punchestown Racecourse, County Kildare from July 8th to July 10th. This year's festival hosted stunning headline shows from Eminem and Kasabian.
