Adele's '21' outselling entire UK albums chart Top 10

Adele’s latest album, ‘21’ seems like a sure-fire hit for this week’s Number One spot on the UK albums chart. The record has sold more than 100,000 copies since Monday morning, and according to figures from The Official Charts Company it is outselling the other top 9 albums combined.
Meanwhile, the London-based singer’s critically-acclaimed debut album ‘19’ is also set to re-enter the top 5, a full three years after it was first released.
Apart from the torrent of press attention because of her recent success, Adele has also been receiving support from other musicians and celebrities. Lily Allen was quick to congratulate the singer, posting on Twitter: “So happy for Adele. So good when good things happen to nice people. CONGRATULATIONS ADELE on being No1EVERYF*CKINGWHERE!”
Meanwhile, the 22-year-old singer went to the BBC studios yesterday to perform an exclusive set for Radio 1’s Live Lounge. She gave an impressive rendition of Cheryl Cole’s hit single ‘Promise This’, fusing soulful vocals with a piano backing. You can listen to her version of the song below:
