Right Said Fred Announce 'Night Of The Living Fred' UK Shows & Tickets

Wednesday, 02 February 2011 Written by Brad Norris

Amazingly, Right Said Fred, the British pop act who had a massive hit with 'Im Too Sexy' in 1991, have announced three UK shows for April humoursly titled: 'Night Of The Living Fred'.

Right Said Fred are as recognisable now as they were back in 1992 when they became the first UK band since the Beatles to reach No.1 in the US with a debut single. That single - 'I’m Too Sexy' – hit No.1 in thirty two countries (although interestingly Bryan Adams ensured it remained at No.2 for six weeks in the UK) and garnered an Ivor Novello Award before further hits like 'Deeply Dippy' (another Ivor Novello) and 'Stand Up For The Champions' (still an NFL stalwart to this day) contributed to the band’s overall haul of twenty million records worldwide.

Right Said Fred's new album, 'Stop The World', was released at the end of 2010 and to support the release both Richard and Fred Fairbrass have announced three UK dates to showcase their new material.

Right Said Fred will play the following UK shows:

Mon 25th April 2011 - O2 Academy3 Birmingham, Birmingham (£12.00)
Wed 27th April 2011 - O2 Academy2 Islington, London (£12.00)
Thu 28th April 2011 - O2 Academy2 Sheffield, Sheffield (£12.00)
