Young Man to Release New Single 'Up So Fast'

One man pop army Young Man, the persona of multi-talented Colin Caulfield, is due to release a brand new single entitled ‘Up So Fast’.

Colin, a English/French lit major, is hoping for a reception equal to that given to him by Bradford Cox – the ex-Deerhunter front man described his rendition of ‘Rainwater Cassette Exchange’ as “fantastically superior to the original” and continued “It actually sent shivers up my spine, especially during the second verse.”

Backed with ‘Strangers’, the single is released on Chess Club records on March 14th. The track is a deceivingly-simple song about wanting to grow up without having the slightest idea of what ‘being a man’ actually means.

Colin has stated that Young Man was conceived as a concept project about the passing of time, love, and loss, and apparently every Young Man track will continue a storyline or theme generating one whole story. “A lot of its autobiographical” explains Caulfield, “but it’s universal at the same time, because everyone goes through these things.”

Young Man has two March UK shows lined up so far – you can catch him on the 7th at the Social in London, or at Madame Jojos in London the day after.

The official ‘Up So Fast’ video can be seen below.
