Ladytron Announce London & Glasgow Low-Key Shows & Tickets

Deadpan Krautpop revivalists from Liverpool, combining powerful song writing with intriguing synthesized industrial dance, have announced two June low-key gigs in London and Glasgow.

Formed in the summer of 1998, Ladytron released a new compilation entitled ‘Best of Ladytron: 00-10’ on 29th March. The album includes tracks taken from their four albums released to date, including the singles ‘Destroy Everything You Touch’, ‘Seventeen’ and ‘Ghosts’. It will also feature two new songs, ‘Ace of Hz’ and ‘Little Black Angel’.

Ladytron have gone on to release four albums, the most recent of which was 2008’s ‘Velocifero’. The have also remixed tracks by a number of other artists and previously worked with Christina Aguilera on several songs for the singer’s ‘Bionic’ album, which was released last year. Ladytron’s fifth album is expected later this year.

Speaking about the group’s music, vocalist Mira Aroyo said: “There just weren’t that many people making pop music with synthesizers. We didn’t invent it, but we did it in a very different way.”

A two-disc deluxe edition of ‘Best of Ladytron: 00-10’ was also released on 29th March, featuring 16 additional tracks and an 80-page photo booklet.
