The Kooks Confirmed for Liverpool Sound City Next Week & Tickets

Brighton-based indie-rockers The Kooks have been confirmed for a gig on the opening day of next week’s Liverpool Sound City. The show is to take place at St Luke’s (aka The Bombed Out Church) on Friday 19th May as part of the city’s multi-venue, urban music festival. The gig will also kick-off The Kooks’ latest string of low-key live dates, as reported by Stereoboard earlier this week. Support at the Liverpool date will come from Delta Maid, The Big House and Ragz.

Liverpool Sound City, which is now in its 4th year, will also see performances across the city from bands including The View, Black Lips, Cast, Frank Turner and Mona. Go to the Liverpool Sound City website to find out who is playing where. Wristbands can be purchased for the whole weekend or for individual days and will get you into all Liverpool Sound City shows across the city.

Liverpool Sound City is set to take place at over 30 venues, including the iconic St George’s Hall, the Bombed Out Church and Cathedral Crypt. There will also be a full conference with keynote speakers such as Peter Hook, Kevin Cummins and Simon Raymonde addressing key issues facing the music industry.
