Amy Winehouse Demos and Lyrics Stolen

Items belonging to Amy Winehouse including demo recordings, lyric sheets and personal letters have been stolen from her former residence in Camden, according to reports. An article in The Sun today (August 11th) claims that a friend of the deceased singer took the items, which also included her favourite guitar, from her Camden home earlier this week.

The tabloid claims that Winehouse’s father Mitch is “livid” about the news, going on to state that he has promised to track down the thief and recover the lost items. One of the paper’s infamous ‘sources’ was quoted as saying: “This is such a sickening shock to the family. That someone would stoop so low. They can't get their heads around it. Mitch is livid.”

They continued: “The family, record label and management are months away from deciding what to do with any unreleased music. For that to be taken out of their hands is horrible.”

Despite Winehouse’s father’s supposed anger over the theft, The Sun have claimed that he is willing to offer the thief one last chance to return the goods before contacting the authorities. The source added: "Mitch is willing to give whoever has stolen the items a chance to do the right thing and put them back so it doesn't have to get messy."
