Metronomy Announce New Single and Homecoming Shows

Metronomy are to release ‘Everything Goes My Way’, the latest single to be taken from their album ‘The English Riviera’, on 17th October. The band have also confirmed two homecoming shows in Torquay and Totnes – the hometown of frontman Joe Mount – as warm-up dates for this month’s tour. Both towns are located around the Torbay area of Devon, which was the inspiration behind the group’s Mercury-nominated album ‘The English Riviera’.

The single ‘Everything Goes My Way’ is the third to be taken from the album following ‘The Look’ and ‘The Bay’, which were both released earlier this year. In addition to Metronomy’s September tour and their headlining date at London’s Royal Albert Hall on 3rd October, the band will now also perform at The Attic in Torquay on 19th September and Dartington Great Hall in Totnes on 20th September, the day before the tour officially starts in Southampton. Contact the venue directly for tickets for the Totnes date – tickets for all other dates are available below.

‘The English Riviera’, Metronomy’s third album to date, was released in April and reached Number 17 in the UK Albums Chart. The album is among the shortlisted nominees for this year’s Barclaycard Mercury Prize, the winner of which will be announced this Tuesday (6th September).
