Lisa Hannigan Announces November UK Tour & Tickets

Irish singer-songwriter Lisa Hannigan has announced a UK tour November.

Described by the New York Times as 'exquisitely ethereal', following a chance meeting with singer-songwriter Damien Rice, Lisa Hannigan made a name for herself when she became the female vocalist on Rice's best-selling breakthrough albums 'O' and '9'.

Gifted with stunning vocals, Lisa performed regularly with Damien Rice from early 2001 through to March 2007 until their professional relationship had “run its creative course”.

Lisa has continued with a solo career and released her first album, 'Sea Sew', back in 2008. The album debuted at Number Four, earned her a Choice Music Prize nomination, two Meteor Music Award nominations and was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize 2009.

News of Lisa’s live dates comes as she readies a new record, ‘Passenger’, which is released on October 10th. The album will be preceded by the exhilarating first single, ‘Knots’, which sets up an altogether darker and more personal return for Hannigan. Songs were written across Dublin, Brooklyn and West Cork (as captured beautifully on the album’s map of a cover), before being produced by the acclaimed Joe Henry; who has previously worked with the likes of Ani DiFranco, Solomon Burke and Loudon Wainwright III. And so emerged ‘Passenger’ - a genuine coming of age for Lisa Hannigan.
