Glastonbury Washing Machine Rumours Just A 'Misinterpreted Joke'

Contrary to stories circulating the internet today, rumours that Glastonbury-goers would get washing machines in 2013 were apparently just a misinterpreted joke by organiser Mike Benn according to eFestivals.
The Sun reported that “Festival boss Michael Eavis has agreed to install washing machines at the Worthy Farm site.” But eFestivals, a leading website in UK festivals, has dismissed the story as completely false, describing it as ‘clearly a joke’ by director Melvin Benn. They also said they had spoken to Benn himself, and he had categorically denied claims.
They went on to say that Benn and Glastonbury actually try and decrease the amount of water they actually use – so washing machines wouldn’t be an option for them.
Glastonbury is taking a break next year, meaning fans will have to wait a whole year before they get the chance to get as muddy as possible again. But, they’ll be changing the ticket scheme – you’ll have to register to get your tickets, with each of them printed with the owner’s picture on – even if you’re aged 13. Families and friends must be registers if you’re buying them a ticket!
