Coldplay To Perform Celebrity Duet On This Year's X-Factor?

Alternative rockers Coldplay have apparently signed up to perform in this year’s X Factor duet final, as well as Michael Buble and Jessie J.
The talent competition each year features a round where contestants perform alongside already-accomplished megastars to further their chance of winning the show. Previously, the round has seen the likes of Rihanna, Robbie Williams and Christina Aguilera all get on stage with the hopefuls – now it could be the turn of one of Britain’s most popular bands.
British tabloid The Daily Star reported that Coldplay would be one of the celebrity duet participators, and also suggested that the band are hopeful that they’ll be selected to work with ginger-haired contestant Janet Devlin.
“There isn't anyone left in the show who would suit Coldplay's music apart from Janet,” the paper’s source told them. “She wowed everyone when she sang 'Fix You'. It shows how confident everyone is that Janet will make the final.”
While Buble and Jessie J wouldn’t look out of place on the television show, ‘Viva la Vida’ singers Coldplay have previously said that they would never be making an appearance on the show – as they are “ far too old.”
