Jimmy Page Release 'Death Wish II: Collector's Edition LP'

Jimmy Page fans are in for a treat this winter – he’ll be releasing the ‘Death Wish II: Collector’s Edition LP’ tomorrow at 3pm, making it the perfect gift for Page or Zeppelin fans this Christmas.
The heavyweight vinyl is released exclusively on Page’s website, and the package includes previously unreleased material, all-new 2011 sleeve notes and updated artwork. There are only 1000 individually-numbered copies available and, for those more hardcore fans, Page has personally signed the first 30 copies of this limited edition release.
If you’re thinking of getting one of the packages for a friend who just can’t get enough of Jimmy Page, it’s going to cost you £30 – but if you’re looking to fork out for the ultimate gift, you can get one of the limited 30 signed copies for a hefty £195 – though we imagine it’ll sell for lots and lots more in around 50 years time!
Talking of the release, Page said: “In 1981, Michael Winner asked me if I would compose the soundtrack to Death Wish II. The songs with vocals were only going to appear in the film for a matter of seconds but I had recorded full versions of them anyway - which is how I ended up doing my first soundtrack and soundtrack album. I’ve re-released this because I wanted it to be available again.”
