Welsh rockers the Manic Street Preachers have confessed that they’re still bickering and arguing over what order to play through their 38 singles when they put on their one-off performance in London’s O2 Arena tomorrow.
The band have lined-up the special Christmas gig for tomorrow night to coincide with October’s release of ‘Nation Treasures’, a collection of each of their 38 singles, and will play each of the tracks at tomorrow’s gig. After a hugely-successful 25 year career, the band are considered one of the biggest names in UK rock – and now their only remaining problem is deciding what order to play through their collection of hits!
“It's just been one of those weeks where you know you're going to be falling out with each other – but we've known each other 35 years so it's pointless having a row now,” said bassist Nicky Wire. “It's been really hard to put together because everyone's got their own opinions on how to play things.
“We are 42, 43 now, so unfortunately it's not like we can just jump onstage and thrash through it like we would have done, 10 or 20 years ago. If you don't want to miss 'Love's Sweet Exile', 'Motorcycle Emptiness' or 'Revol', you better get there on time.”
If you’re a Manics fan, you need to get yourself to this show – it seems like James Dean Bradfield and co. are set to be taking a two year break following the gig. If you need tickets, check the dates and details below.
