Solo Artist Piney Gir Releases Free Festive Download ‘Christmas Time’ – Listen Now

Kansas-born singer-songwriter Piney Gir has written and recorded a new song entitled ‘Christmas Time’ ahead of this year’s festive period. The track is available to download for free from her SoundCloud page and can be listened to below with the accompanying music video.
The new song follows the recent release of Gir’s new album ‘Geronimo!’, which came out in October. The album is her fifth to date and follows last year’s ‘Jesus Wept’. The singer will release the latest single from ‘Geronimo!’ on 30th January. The track is called ‘Outta Sight’ and follows ‘Oh Lies’, which was released in September. Piney Gir first began playing piano at the age of four and went on to write her first song at age nine. After earning herself a degree in music, she later moved to England to study at London’s Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design. In 2004, Piney released her debut album ‘Peakahokahoo’, which was more of an electronic effort compared with the country influences on its 2006 successor ‘Hold Yer Horses’.
Piney Gir has also announced a live date at London’s Lexington on Tuesday 17th January ahead of the release of her new single.
