Fu Manchu to Celebrate 15th Anniversary of ‘The Action Is Go’ with UK Tour

Wednesday, 25 January 2012 Written by Rob Sleigh

Californian stoner rockers Fu Manchu will be celebrating the 15th anniversary of their fourth album ‘The Action Is Go’ with a European tour in September, including dates in the UK. On each night of the tour, the band will perform the 1997 album in its entirety. This follows last year’s ‘In Search Of’ tour, when Fu Manchu played all of the tracks from their third album.

Speaking about the new dates, Fu Manchu frontman Scott Hill said: “We’re stoked that the fans are into us doing the complete album thing again. We look forward to bringing these songs back live to the fans after 15 years.”

Fu Manchu were originally formed in Orange County, California in 1990 and released their debut album ‘No One Rides For Free’ in 1994. They have released 10 albums to date, their most recent being 2009’s ‘Signs of Infinite Power’. The band are currently working on their 11th offering, which is planned for release in 2013.
