Superstar rapper Eminem is being sued for a massive $9million – by a homeless American man who claims that the ‘Lose Yourself’ star used his idea for a new Chrysler commercial that he stars in.
Stephen Lee Pieck filed the lawsuit at the United States District Court in New York, demanding the huge amount of cash – which equates to £5.7million – after Eminem apparently helped create an advert which Pieck designed ‘every aspect of ‘. The man listed his as ‘homeless’ on the lawsuit file.
According to Pieck, superstar singer Christina Aguilera was eating dinner with ex-husband Jordan Bratman at a seafood restaurant in New York back in Sepetember 2010, and decided to call Eminem for a chat. His story continues on to tell that Aguilera then handed him the phone – and it was then that he told Eminem of this idea for the ‘Born of Fire’ advert, which is now on screens in the US.
In the lawsuit, Pieck wrote: “I want the court to reward me a judgment in the amount of $9 million. I designed every aspect of the commercial and the commercial was stolen from me. In addition, I did not receive compensation in monetary terms for the work I did.”
Meanwhile, I’ll be catching a plane to New York to file a lawsuit against Led Zeppelin, because of that time I sang some lyrics over the phone to Robert Plant, which he stole and turned into mega-hit ‘Stairway to Heaven’ without my permission.
