Superstar soul singer Adele will not be taking a five year break from the music scene, despite yesterday being quoted as saying she wanted to ‘fuck off for four or five years’.
Adele was quoted by US magazine Vogue as saying that she’d like to ‘fuck off for four or five years’, with Vogue implying that the singer meant taking a break from her career. But Adele has now come forward to tell fans that the quote has been taken out of context – and that she won’t be taking a break longer than five days!
Originally, Adele was quoted as saying: “I am fucking off for four or five years. If I am constantly working, my relationships fail. So at least now I can have enough time to write a happy record. And be in love and be happy. And then I don't know what I'll do. Get married. Have some kids. Plant a nice vegetable patch.”
But now, Adele has written to fans via her blog to deny the story, saying: “I've a few days off now, and then it's the Brit Awards here at home and then I'm straight into the studio. 5 years? More like 5 days!”
Adele recently won six awards at the Grammys, after making her live comeback at the ceremony.
