American rock legends the Foo Fighters managed to pick up the BRIT Award for Best International Group for the second time in their illustrious career last night, beating off some stiff competition from the likes of Kanye West and Maroon 5.
Accepting the award via camera link, frontman Dave Grohl said: “Thank you so much, England, the UK has always been like our second home and where we first started playing our biggest shows and the first place that really got the Foo Fighters in a big way. We'll cherish this forever. We love you and we'll be back soon.”
The band triumphed over fellow nominees Kanye West, Fleet Foxes, Lady Att and Maroon 5, and were introduced by some of the biggest rock icons in the world – Queen legends Brian May and Roger Taylor. You can check out the band’s BRIT Awards profile here.
