According to the Aspen Times, iconic singer-songwriter Bob Dylan is recording a brand new studio album – which would be his first release since 2009’s ‘Together Through Life’ and his Christmas album ‘Christmas in the Heart’, which also came out in 2009.
The website reports that Dylan has been writing and recording a new record at a studio belonging to American singer-songwriter Jackson Browne, and has been working with Los Lobos frontman David Hidalgo, who also worked with Dylan on his festival album in 2009.
Speaking about working with Dylan once again, Hidalgo revealed: “It was a great experience. And different. Each one has been different, all completely different approaches. It's an amazing thing, how he keeps creativity. I don't see how he does it.”
No release date or details of the potential LP have surfaced as of yet, though Hidalgo did add that he’d be playing some Mexican-style instruments on the record – which could have an influence on the material’s sound. We’ll keep you up-to-date on the story as it unfolds.
