'I Don't Care How Many Copies Of 'OF Tapes Vol 2' We Sell,' Says Tyler, The Creator

Odd Future icon Tyler, The Creator has claimed he doesn’t care how many copies of their new mixtape ‘OF Tapes Vol 2’ they shift – because people don’t buy CDs anymore.

The new record hits shelves on March 20th, and is expected to sell pretty well, especially with the new found fame the rap collective has found in the past year. But Tyler isn’t so optimistic himself and has said that he wouldn’t consider himself a ‘failure’ if they only managed to sell 5000 copies – mostly because he thinks people just don’t buy CDs anymore.

Posting through his official Twitter account,Tyler wrote: “Haha, Dude If We Sold Like 5000 First Week I Would Not Feel Like A Failure. Niggas Don’t Buy Cds Anymore. Ill Be Kinda Happy Haha. Only Like, [news site] Pitchfork Or Someother Shit Like That Gives A Fuck About Album Sales. I Actually Don’t Know How Much GOBLIN Sold.”

Meanwhile, the group recently unveiled a new track from the forthcoming mixtape - NY (Ned Flanders).

‘OF Tapes Vol 2’ will hit shelves on March 20th and will see the group performing songs as well as individual performances, collaborations and duets from the eleven-strong rap group. One member you won’t be seeing on the album, though, is Earl Sweatshirt, who has only just returned from a lengthy stint at a boarding school in Samoa.
