At The Drive In Self-Confirm For Reading & Leeds Festival 2012

American post-hardcore outfit At The Drive-In have this afternoon self-confirmed themselves for this Summer's Reading and Leeds Festivals.
Organisers of Reading and Leeds festival are only hours away from unveiling the 2012 line-up which is officially announced at 7:15pm tonight, Monday 12th March. At The Drive In decided that it was too long a wait and self-confirmed themselves for the twin-sited festival via their Twitter account: "Freight train coming !!! ... At The Drive In will be performing at Reading / Leeds Festivals August 25-26.”
The last time At The Drive In performed at the August Bank Holiday festival was in 2000, shortly before they announced their split in 2001. The band recently reunited and have since confirmed a performance at this year's Coachella festival in the states.
Stereoboard recently reported that At The Drive In will not be recording a new album, with the band claiming the reunion was “"more of a nostalgia thing". Read the full story HERE.
Reading & Leeds Festival 2012, undoubtedly two of the biggest live music events of the summer, have confirmed tickets will go on general sale at 7.15pm tonight, Monday 12th March 2012, when the headliners and many more names for the festival will also be announced.
