Odd Future's Lionel Boyce Named As Member Arrested At Boston Show

Odd Future’s Lionel Boyce has been named as the band-member arrested by Boston police following their rowdy show in the House of Blues last Wednesday, which was shut down prematurely by the authorities.

The group are notorious for their wild on-stage behaviour but it was actually Boyce’s common sense which landed him in handcuffs, after he helped advise fellow Odd Future member Jasper Dolphin to not jump off a second-story balcony into the crowd. You can check out a documentary-style video explaining the show below.

In the video, Dolphin tells fans: “"The show was good and I'm making the crowd wild. I go to the second floor and I try to jump and my friend Lionel says, 'don't jump, you're too drunk for this shit'. Somehow for him saving me, Boston police arrest this n***a. How the fuck can they arrest a fucking hero?”

The video suggests that the police have got something against the group, as even before the show begins the police were investigating and showing their presence – with Odd Future main-man Tyler, The Creator telling the camera – ‘they’re trying to shut us down’. You can also see Hodgy Beats being pushed by police backstage, who tell the man: “shut your fucking mouth and act like a man.”
