Justin Bieber Twitter Prank Leads To Texas Couple Phone Hell

Canadian superstar Justin Bieber could be in trouble with the law (gasp!) after a prank on his Twitter resulted in a couple living Texas receiving over a thousand phone calls from fans.
The teenage singer decided to play a joke on his fans yesterday, posting his phone number – minus one digit – over his official Twitter account, telling fans to phone him for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to speak to him.
As you can expect, millions upon millions of Bieber fans tried to get in touch with the star, frantically trying each possible phone number as fast as they can. What Bieber didn’t account for was the fact that one of the possible combinations could have called a completely different line – and it did; Texan couple Dilcie and Kent’s line to be exact.
Out of what seemed like nowhere, the couple’s phone started going absolutely berserk with phone calls and continued to go off non-stop for hours, with the couple expected to have received over a thousand different calls from Beliebers around the world.
But, while they may have endured telecommunication hell for a day or two, the couple are set to receive some kind of compensation for Bieber’s behaviour – which Kent described as ‘reckless’ – and could see a big money payment or an endorsement for Kent’s new web-based project. Somehow, though, I think they won’t be excepting tickets to the star’s concert.
