Alt-J Announce 'An Awesome Wave' Headline UK Tour Dates & Tickets

Leeds band Alt-J have announced they are to follow-up their Wild Beasts support shows with a headline tour in May. Tickets for Alt-J are onsale this Friday at 9am.

Formerly known as Films, Alt-J changed their name to ∆, the symbol that you get from the Mac shortcut alt+j. They came together whilst they were all studying their 2nd year at Leeds university in 2008. A small set was put together and the band began to build their fanbase through some crammed gigs in their front room.

Describing their music as “jump or trip-folk”, their sound is pushed and pulled through various lo-fi, hip-hop and folky pockets to make a haunting and original mulch. Their debut album, 'An Awesome Wave', is set for release on Monday 28th May.
