Carly Connor Announces Summer Headline UK Tour & Tickets

Atlantic Records’ new protégé Carly Connor has announced dates for a UK headline tour in June and July.
Signed on the spot after auditioning for Atlantic Records, Carly is an exciting new Scottish talent set for major success in 2012. Since moving to London two years ago, Carly has been writing her debut album, set for release next year. Last year saw Carly work with top producers Angelo Petraglia (Kings Of Leon) in Nashville and Daniel Ledinsky (Cee Lo Green) in Stockholm. April will see Carly pack her bags for the dizzy heights of New York City to work with the legendary Ben H Allen. Producer for Christina Aguilera, MIA & Animal Collective. Carly has also spent time this year working with Dan Grech (The Vaccines).
Carly’s songwriting and heart-felt lyrics have been shaped in part by her Glasgow childhood, and draws on influences such as Janis Joplin and early Tina Turner records. She has been performing live since she was just 11-years-old and delivers her songs with a unique and powerful voice. Speaking about the tour, Carly explains: "This has already been a really exciting year for me and is set to get better and better. I’m just the wee girl from Easterhouse and it’s such an exciting time for me. I can’t wait to get back out on tour and rock it on these shows".
At just 20, Carly has already racked up an impressive live résumé having supported fellow Scots The View and Paolo Nutini on tour last year. She also played to 10000 fans at the Estadio Municipal in Milan. On top of this she was selected by Claude Nobs to play at last year’s Montreux Jazz Festival, billed alongside Chaka Khan, as well as impressive performances at the 2011 Arthur’s Day in Dublin and 2011 Rockness. Carly is planning to embark on an extensive European tour later this year.
