Controversial indie rocker Pete Doherty has revealed that he has 12 tracks written out for a new solo album, to fulfill his album obligations with EMI.
Speaking to NME, Doherty revealed that he'd be putting out a new record – which he said would be produced by Adem Hilmi – because he still owes EMI a full long-player album. The star went on to say he had 12 tracks already written and was hoping to finish the process soon.
"I keep getting told that we're [his solo team] under obligation to fulfil the contract with EMI, so we're looking to put a new album together. His name [the producer] is Adem Hilmi and he works at Slaughterhouse Studios in Harlsden. He's taken my hard drive with a view to putting this album together. It'll be 12 songs.”
You can catch Pete performing at a gig in London's Brixton Jamm on Friday (April 6th) – if you're in need to tickets, check the dates and details below.
