Katy Perry Promises New Material Will Be 'Real F*cking Dark'

Superstar singer Katy Perry has promised fans that her new material will be 'real fucking dark' as she works on her third studio album.
The usually upbeat star has revealed that there will be a more aggressive and emotional side to her new recordings – which may draw inspiration from Perry's recent split from husband Russell Brand. Speaking to The Sun, Perry also revealed how she narrowly missed out on a part in Oscar award-winning film 'The Help', as well as updating fan on her forthcoming new 3D concert movie.
“My music is about to get real fucking dark,” Perry told the paper. “You'd never see my face because my hair would be in it.”
She then told Teen Vogue: “There was a time when I was going to be involved in The Help- just a small part, I wasn't going to be Emma Stone or anything - but I couldn't because the shooting schedule conflicted with the release of my record. And I was upset about that; I knew it was going to be an important film.”
Talking of her own film adventures, Perry then said: “I wanted to show people this parade that surrounds me, I wanted them to see the engine. I wanted people to be able to experience the tour and all the joy it brought, which is why we shot it in 3D.”
'Katy Perry: Part of Me' is due out later this year.
