Lady Gaga Fans Warned To Watch Out For Scam Ticket Sites

Earlier this week Lady Gaga unveiled the dates for the European leg of her anticipated Born This Way Ball world tour. Just a few hours following the announcement, concert tickets appeared on online auction sites despite them not even being officially on sale.
Last Tuesday, 10th April, Lady Gaga confirmed she will bring her Born This Way Ball tour to the UK in September, with shows confirmed to take place at London's Twickenham Stadium on 8th September and Manchester's MEN Arena on 11th September. Lady Gaga Tickets are officially on general sale from 9am tomorrow, Friday 13th April and a huge rush is expected from fans desperate to snap-up tickets to see the pop superstar perform live.
With ticket websites bracing themselves for the frenzied rush, Stereoboard warns Lady Gaga fans to be aware of fraudulent ticket websites looking to take advantage of the huge demand and scam fans into buying fake tickets that don’t even exist. In February 2011, Stereoboard produced a viral video to warn fans against disreputable tout ticket sellers. ‘Access All Areas’, which has received over 30,000 views so far, follows the fate of a group of music fans who opt to go ‘off road’ obtaining their tickets unofficially, to blag their way backstage at a major gig. Legitimate online ticket seller Viagogo has forecasted that according to online Lady Gaga searches, up to two million fans could be attempting to buy just 75,000 tickets come tomorrow, Friday 13th April, when a tickets are officially on general sale.
Speaking about the tour, Director of Viagogo UK Ed Parkinson said: "Lady GaGa's 'Monsters Ball' tour was one of the most in-demand gigs of 2010, and with her fanbase growing daily to over 20 million followers on Twitter alone, we expect this tour to be even bigger. It would be a real shame for any of Lady GaGa's fans to miss out on the chance to see her live in action so we're warning fans to be careful when buying tickets sourced on auction sites like eBay."
