Kanye West and Jay-Z are probably the biggest duo in rap and hip-hop at the moment, and have a unique bromance that has seen their new project Watch the Throne make big movements across the globe. But now, West has been dealt a blow of presidential proportions after Barack Obama revealed he preferred Jay-Z, and that he thought West was a 'jackass'.
What's worst is, it's not even the first time that the most powerful man in America has branded the star a 'jackass' he used the same word to describe West after he infamously interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, something which he has since apologised for.
Speaking to e-magazine The Atlantic, Obama said: [I prefer] Jay-Z. Although I like Kanye. Hes a Chicago guy. Smart. Hes very talented. [But] he is a jackass.
Though Obama is a fan of the pair's music, they didn't make it into the Obama 2012 Presidential Campaign's soundtrack, which 'features picks by the campaign staff - including a few of President Obama's favourites'. On the playlist is music by the likes of Florence and the Machine, Bruce Springsteen and Aretha Franklin.
If you, like Obama, are a fan of Watch the Throne, you can catch them on their up and coming UK tour this May. Check the dates and details below to get yourself some tickets.
