American indie-rockers Grandaddy have already been announced for End of the Road festival in September, and, after saying they'll play a 'limited run' of shows, have today announced a short UK tour for August. Tickets for Grandaddy are onsale this Friday at 9am.
California's Grandaddy have kept their promise to reunite and will visit venues in Manchester, Glasgow and London, in addition to their End of The Road Festival performance in Dorset in September.
Grandaddy split back 2006 after releasing four studio albums. Singer, guitarist, and keyboardist Jason Lytle told NME that the break-up was “inevitable” due to lack of financial income. "On one hand our stubbornness has paid off, but on the other hand refusing to buy into the way things are traditionally supposed to be done has made things worse for us... The realistic part is it hasn't proved to be a huge money-making venture for a lot of guys in the band."
