The Dresden Dolls' Amanda Palmer Offering House Party And Dinner Dates To Album Fund Donaters

Amanda Palmer, one half of cabaret rockers The Dresden Dolls, is in desperate need of money to help fund her new album, art project and tour – and is promising to attend a house party with anyone who pledge $5000 towards her fund.

The unqiue offer, which is only available to the first 20 people who pledge the cash, has already been taken up by five mystery donaters, while the whole project has already managed to raise more than $250,000 – meaning that the new album and art project should be on the way soon.

Speaking of the offer on her Kickstar Pledge page, Palmer says: “This is my first BIG, LEGIT studio album undertaking since breaking from a major label. i've spent four years writing the songs for this record, and more recently, putting together the perfect band, The Grand Theft Orchestra.”

She continued: “Since i'm now without a giant label to front the gazillions of dollars that it always takes to manufacture and promote a record this big, i'm coming to you to gather funds so that i have the capital to put it out with a huge fucking bang.”

“Back this and ye shall receive one house party with a ukulele-wielding AFP (scheduled with the team... deliverable within the next 18 months, but hopefully sooner... pretty much the next time i hit your area. if you're in tunisia i'll GET THERE.”

Should you have a rather vast fortune, and wish to donate more than $5000, there's even more rewards available to you. Those who donate $10,000 to the fund can choose from a an art sitting and dinner party, where you can paint, eat and drink with Palmer, or a photoshoot and makeover session, where you'll be make-up'd and dressed up by Palmer and the Grand Theft Orchestra for a photoshoot.

Stay with Stereoboard to find out whether Palmer reaches her goal and puts out that new album and tour.
