Folk rock outfit Mumford & Sons have promised fans that their won't be any 'tricks or new sounds' on their new album, which is the follow-up to their 2009 debut 'Say No More'.
The band achieved considerable success with the release of their first record, and have been left with a great task in following it up. But, rather than change their style or record something with money in mind, the band have promised that they've simply 'made a new record', and that its a natural step from their previous release.
Keyboard player Ben Lovett told BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe: “We can't really come out with any tricks or new sounds because we have the instruments we play and we sing songs. We've just made another record that we felt best represented where we got to.”
Lovett went on to talk about the band's plans after the album release, and confirmed that the band would be getting back on the road to tour later this year.
“I think we're feeling pretty refreshed. It got to a point with the touring, that as much as we were enjoying it, we were also running ourselves into the ground a bit. I'm dying to get out on the road and be the band we were in the first place. We formed to tour, we can go back to our comfort zone and play some gigs.”
