Gotye Admits He'd Love To Work With Kate Bush

Belgian-Australian singer-songwriter Gotye has revealed that he wants to work with art rock star Kate Bush – though he admitted he wasn't sure whether a collaboration between them would work.

The 31 year-old indie rocker is planning what to do next with his career, after achieving remarkable success with his third studio album 'Making Mirrors' – and sees some collaborative work as the way forward. And, it appears Kate Bush is at the top of his hitlist, and would love to get a track done with her – even though he'd be rather strarstruck if they met to work together.

Asked by NME exactly who he'd like to with, the star confessed: “I go to say idols of mine like Kate Bush, she's amazing. But then again, when you'd idolised someone like that over the years, it's hard to meet them and treat them like a regular person.”

He went on to talk about his newly-amassed fortune, which has come off the back of his aforementioned third album, and how he's handling having more cash than he's ever had before.

“Even with a bigger balance in my bank account, it's not like I'm planning to splurge on property or anything. It'll be more like if I want to work with someone and they happen to live in Canada, I can fly over there and actually spend a few weeks there, which is quite luxurious to me.”

He continued: “I'm not thinking about moving house, I might build a proper studio though. I used a barn last time and I've dismantled that set-up. People have asked me before what I'm going to splurge on and if it's anything it'll be something musical like an organ or something for my girlfriend.”
