JLS have confessed that they're rather worried about One Direction's incredible, unrivalled success across the world – as they don't want to be left behind in their shadow.
The two acts bare many similarities, with both being all-male pop groups who found fame through ITV show The X-Factor – they're even signed to the same Modest Management company. But, while One Direction have managed to score international success (particularly in America), JLS haven't – and are unhappy that they didn't receive the same support when trying to crack the states.
A source close to JLS told The Sun: “The lads have no issue at all with the One Direction boys. They just wish they had the same backing when they were ready to crack America. They have a lot of tough calls to make over the next few months and after this album campaign.”
While they may not be mega-famous across the pond, they still managed to go and have a good time over there – with the boys throwing a stag-do for Marvin Humes that ended in the star being handcuffed to a midget named '5 Cent'.
“Marvin thought the dwarf idea was hilarious,” a source revealed. “5 Cent is a real character and has been the life and soul of the stag do. Marv is used to people staring at him in the street back home, but never because he's been handcuffed to a midget.”
