Supergrass frontman Gaz Coombes has claimed that he currently has absolutely no interest in a Supergrass reunion – but didn't rule out the move later in life.
The alternative rockers split up in 2010 after 17 years together, with Coombes since pursuing a solo career. As expected with any broken-up band, there always questions and rumours flying around of a possible reunion, and Supergrass are no different, with The Guardian asking the star about the possibilities of them reforming – and, with their seventh studio album currently half-finished and unreleased, he didn't rule out the idea, and told the paper: “"Who knows what I'll say in five years?”
He went on to talk about his new solo venture, which begins with the release of 'Here Come the Bombs'. Talking of the album, and it's opening track 'Bombs', Coombes said: “You see aerial footage of bombs dropping and it doesn't seem real. But down there, it's fucking mental.”
He continued: “I got this feeling that there are a lot of people around the world who aren't listened to and they're being wronged. It had an effect on me – a very strange emotion – enough to make me start writing stuff down.”
