Heavy metal supergroup Down have announced a run of UK tour dates for this October, to coincide with the release of a new record.
The American band, which was formed from the former members of a number of huge bands – including frontman Phil Anselmo of Pantera and drummer Jimmy Bower from Eyehategod – will be bringing their unique brand of sludge-y stoner metal across the pond for some rare UK dates, which will be jam-packed full of new material that they’ve been working on since 2008.
The tour dates haven’t been release just yet, but we can confirm that Down will be performing in Birmingham’s HMV Institute on Saturday October 20th, and will also be appearing Manchester O2 Academy the day before and in London's Roundhouse the day after. Tickets are onsale as of Friday next week (June 15th) and will cost around £17.00 + fees.
