Under the Bridge and Vince Power are pleased to announce that for sixteen nights during this summer’s games, Under the Bridge in West London will host a unique celebration of Irish music and culture featuring performances from some of the country’s best-loved artists and bands.
Thanks in no small part to its vibrant and hugely diverse music scene, Ireland has long held a reputation as one of the world’s great party towns and, for two weeks starting at the end of July, the likes of The Undertones, Nanci Griffith, Aslan and The Saw Doctors will be bringing the inimitable sound of Ireland to London for what is sure to be one of the must-see festivals of the summer.
“You don't have to be Irish to participate” says London Irish Village curator and revered music industry mogul Vince Power. “I've always had a long history of booking Irish acts in the UK and I'm really happy to be involved in the London Irish Village - it’s our mini Feis this year during the games”.
Expect a heady mix of quality music, traditional Irish food and drink, and great company. For further information and a full line-up, click here.
