Geordie singing star Cheryl Cole (or, just Cheryl as she now prefers) has revealed that she’s putting her hopes of cracking America on hold to focus on a Girls Aloud reunion – but has revealed that she wants to tour the UK.
Breaking the states is a milestone in any British (and any other non-American!) artist nowadays, and Cheryl had reportedly been hoping to make a name for herself in the states. But now, she’s only focussed on helping her third album ‘A Million Lights’ perform well in her home country – as well as put on a much-wanted Girls Aloud reunion. And what better way to promote an album than performing tracks from it across the country?
“I haven't any plans to try and break America this time,” Cheryl told The Daily Star. “I'm more than happy to be releasing it here. It's not in my plans to tour or release there. But I do want to tour in the UK - the buzz around this album has made me want to get out there.”
The star added: “Girls Aloud will also be back for a little while too.”
A Girls Aloud has been on the cards for the past couple of months, and it seems to be common knowledge that they’ll be getting back together to celebrate their 10th anniversary – it’s now just a question of when. We reported that the girls were hard at work in the studio back in May.
