Iconic British pop group Take That will be putting out a new album and embarking on yet another stadium tour within the next two years, according to comments from Gary Barlow last night.
The Take That mainman spoke to BBC Radio 2 host Reggie Yates on his chart show last night, after his, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s, and the Military Wives managed to top both the UK Singles and UK Albums charts with their track and record ‘Sing’.
After congratulating Barlow, Yates then excitedly asked how he could ‘top’ the feat – and asked the question that millions of Take That fans want the answer to: Will there be another Take That album and stadium tour? The big man himself seems to think there ‘absolutely’ will be.
Replying to Yates ‘can you top that’ question, Barlow said: “Well you know what, I always get to this point and go ‘well nothing’s going to top that’, and then something else comes along. But I’ve gotta say, it’s going to take something very special to top that one.”
Yates then quickly asked whether there would be a new Take That album, to which Barlow responded: “Well I hope so, next year I hope, yeah.”
The Radio 2 host then finally asked if there’d be another tour ‘with stadiums’, with Barlow telling him: “Absolutely, definitely yeah. Oh yes. I can promise you that”.
Nothing has been officially confirmed yet and any tours or albums would be due around 2013-2014, but you’ve heard it from Barlow’s mouth – there is ‘definitely’ going to be more Take That in the next couple of years.
