The Vans Warped Tour can this morning confirm another three acts for its UK stop at Alexandra Palace on November 10th 2012. Joining a bill headed by Lostprophets and Bring Me The Horizon are Welsh chart toppers Funeral For A Friend, LA’s all-girl rockers Cherri Bomb and US Warped Tour sensation It Boys.
“We've shared so many great memories being a part of such a prolific tour like Warped and to play the UK Warped show will be rad,” says Funeral For A Friend frontman Matt Davies. “It's going to be insane. It's gonna be off the wall...”
It Boys are equally enthused, stating: "We are so excited about extending our Vans Warped Tour experience from the USA to our home away from home the UK! Catch us Nov. 10th at Alexandra Palace!"

Warped are also offering one lucky unsigned band a slot at Vans Warped Tour UK. 2012 marks the 16th year that Ernie Ball has given unsigned bands the opportunity to play the Vans Warped Tour. The Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands has become known throughout the industry as a breeding ground for North America's best unsigned talent. This November Ernie Ball and the Vans Warped Tour will be giving one UK Band the opportunity to make history and be a part of the most successful festival of all time. In order to claim your bands’ spot you must register at www.battleofthebands.com. Once you have built your bands’ profile the competition is on. Promote your band using all of the available tools and fight hard to get as many votes as you can. The top 100 vote-getting bands will be reviewed by a panel of industry experts who will select one lucky band to win the ultimate grand prize of playing the 2012 Vans Warped Tour!
The Vans Warped Tour isn’t just about music. In true Warped tradition, the London stop will have a strong Action Sports element, hosting the Vans UKSA National Skateboarding Championships. With a prize purse of £15,000 up for grabs, the contest will feature the biggest names in the UK vert scene. Expect to see living legends including Sean Goff and Andy Scott alongside current heavy hitters and X-Game medalists Sam Beckett and Sam Bosworth, with the next generation snapping at their heels, including Matty Carlisle, who has already made the 720 his signature trick. Witness a huge array of styles and trick variety from the competitors who range in age from 14 up to 47!
This is sure to be a great show, the competition will take the form of jams held between band performances with each one lasting around 20 minutes. This format emulates the more natural 'session' style of skateboarding with each skater pushing the others and encouraging the best performances from everyone involved. Ex-RAD TV presenter and pro skateboarder Marc Churchill will MC alongside veteran kingpin of the UK Vert scene Steve 'Wingy' Wilkinson, so be prepared to laugh, cry and be very entertained!
