The anonymous caller whose $119 million bid won them one of the greatest masterpieces of modern art Edvard Munch's "The Scream," has been revealed as none other than the U.K.’s finest, The Darkness! Click here to watch how these art enthusiasts have honored this epic work!
While The Darkness gear up for the August 20th release of their third studio album 'Hot Cakes', the group - Justin Hawkins (vocals/guitars), Dan Hawkins (guitars/backing vocals), Frankie Poullain (bass) and Ed Grham (drums) - joined forces with the popular comedy site www.funnyordie.com to film the hilarious clip in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, 'Everybody Have A Good Time,' the first single off 'Hot Cakes', is set for download release on July 2nd. In addition, the new preview track 'Every Inch Of You' is available now on iTunes.
The band started their summer festival season with a show in Trondheim, Norway earlier this month. At present, The Darkness' only UK headline show for 2012 is their outdoor 'hometown' event in Thetford Forest, Suffolk on 14th July (with special guests Black Stone Cherry). The band will then head across Europe and the UK as special guests of Lady Gaga on her 'Born This Way Ball' tour.
