Early Bird tickets for Download Festival 2013 are on sale today, Friday 15th June.
Those wishing to attend next year's festival will have to be quick as only a limited amount of tickets are available from 9am today over at Downloadfestival.com. Next year's event will take place from June 14th-16th at Donington Park.
Organisers of Download Festival have introduced a deposit scheme for 2013 tickets. Making costs a little bit more manageable for those intending to purchase tickets.
Following a wet and muddy start to Download 2012, Download director John Probyn released a statement about some of the problems campers experienced due to the bad conditions. He said: "We are aware of some of the specific issues some customers faced as a result of the bad weather and the effect this has on the festival site and we can assure customers that every effort was made to prepare the ground prior to the event."
He continued: "All options were considered to manage this situation, but unfortunately there was nothing that could be done to prevent the resulting ground conditions. We will use the events of 2012 to once again improve the site for years to come."
The Prodigy, Metallica and Black Sabbath headlined 2012's Download Festival. Andy Copping, Download Festival chief promoter, claims he has booked one of the headliners for 2013's event already.
